Bellydance workshops and one-to-one bellydance tuition in Manchester, UK.
“I really enjoy Rachael’s classes because the atmosphere is so friendly, relaxed and fun. What I love most is that she always tries to get students out of their comfort zone in a fun and friendly way. You always learn something new!” – Shakiba
Starting in Spring 2018, Rachael teaches monthly “Raqs to Infinity” Egyptian dance workshops for dancers of improver level and above, in Didsbury Village, Manchester.
She is also available for private dance tuition, and for one-off taster classes (see booking to find out about booking a fun class for your party).
Rachael’s bellydance classes focus on building your confidence to enjoy Arabic dance in a social setting, as well as developing clear and safe bellydance technique. In Rachael’s classes, you will learn about Arabic music and cultural context alongside dance technique from the very beginning.
“Rachael is very passionate about music and dance, and she passes this on to all her students!” – Pooja
You can book private bellydance tuition with Rachael if you are at improver level or above. Taking private lessons is one of the most effective ways to improve your dancing – in a one-to-one lesson, Rachael can give you far more personalised feedback, attention and advice than is possible in a group class. Private lessons are a great option if there is a specific area of your dancing that you would like to work on, a goal such as an upcoming performance, or if you want to really improve and polish your dance technique.
Private lessons cost £25 per hour, and are held at Rachael’s home studio in Didsbury, South Manchester (other locations may be possible, but may be subject to additional travel costs). You can also arrange a small group class of up to 5 people (please enquire for prices). To find out more about private tuition, please contact Rachael – she will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Feedback from Rachael’s students at the Oxford Middle Eastern Dance Society:
“Rachael is my bellydance teacher (beginner/improver level) for almost a year now. From what I have observed and amongst all the things I love about her teaching, the reason that makes her stand out is that she believes in her every student’s ability to improve, and gives personal attention to their needs and development.
She is excellent at pinpointing and letting you know where you are going wrong and how to work on it, which also makes a very good basis for your homework and practice.
No wonder, I have noticed a profound improvement in my dancing in a short timespan and I am glad that I had Rachael teaching at beginner’s level, where it is your best chance to acquire good practices and techniques. She is also very organised and draws lesson plans keeping in mind the areas we struggled previously and comes up with innovative ideas to nail them more effectively.
Her classes are intense and fun at the same time and we all love our social dancing moments towards the end of every class. She is very passionate about music and dance, and she passes this on to all her students!” – Pooja
“I like the fact that you take time to give us a personal coaching by making sure that we do the right movement and telling us what is wrong. I felt it very useful because when I try to reproduce the movements we’ve learned at home, I remember what you told me and I try to follow your advice… The classes are very pleasant… In summary you are a very good teacher :-)” – Assia
