All the details
Early Spring 2021 dates: Tuesday the 9th of February to Tuesday the 16th of March (this course has now started – if you would like to join late, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org)
Spring 2021 dates: Tuesday the 13th of April to Tuesday 18th of May.
Times: 6:30pm – 7:30pm Beginners, 7:35pm – 8:35pm Improvers (all times are GMT/London time)
How it works: All classes are held live on Zoom. I also record a brief video summary of the material covered each week, which you will have access to throughout the course.
The beginners course is suitable for everybody – the classes are designed to be accessible for all ages, body types and fitness levels, and you don’t need any previous dance experience. This Feb/March term, we will cover some essential Egyptian dance techniques, and learn a fun drum solo choreography!
In our improvers course this Feb/March we’ll be dancing to a classic Arabic love song – including technique, choreography, and musical interpretation. This level is suitable for dancers who’ve been studying Egyptian dance for a year or more, and are comfortable with a good range of basic movements and steps.
These fun and upbeat technique workshops, held on the fourth Saturday of each month from 2-3:30pm UK time, are suitable for improvers (1+ years experience) and above, with optional challenges to keep more experienced dancers on their toes!
Each month we’ll look at a different area of technique in detail, and each workshop includes:
- Warmup and drills
- Technique tune-up
- Combinations to practise your new skills
- Relaxing stretches
