Dance to live drumming with confidence, with Rachael Borek and percussionist Joëlle Barker!
Saturday 15th of June at Chorlton High School
- 11am-12:30pm – open level introduction to dancing with Middle Eastern drumming – a fun workshop open to all! Experience dancing to live percussion for the first time, or warm up for the afternoon workshop, with guided improvisation and tips & tricks to enjoy live music in a relaxed setting.
- 1pm-3pm – introduction to live drum solos, for improver/intermediate level dancers – In this class we’ll work towards dancing solo with Joëlle, so that you can experience the magic of inspiring a musician’s playing at the same time as her drumming inspires your dance. Learn to lead and follow, dance with confidence, and end your drum solo in style!
